My name is Marcos A. Amaral, and shortly just call me Marcos. I am from East Timor and currently doing a master's degree in the area of Educational Management at Flinders University of South Australia.

Back home I was a teacher. I worked at the Universidade National de Timor Leste (East Timor National University) particularly at the Faculty of Education as an English teacher. I had been working there for nearly two years before coming to Australia for my further study. Hopefullly I will be finishing soon and return home at the end of this year.

My hobbies are basketball and traveling. I like basketball because since my elementary school that was the sport that I preferred and used to play. Moreover  basketball, in additon to soccer and volleyball are kinds of spors that most East Timorese youth like. I do not play the other two games but I enjoy watching them when these two sports are competed locally or internationally, particularly during the Olympic Games. I usually watch them when they are held at the local events or on the screen when the Olympics Games take place. So, watching is one of my hobby as well.

Furthermore, traveling is another hobby that I  like to do, especially during holidays. I like traveling to other countries as well as other parts of my own country because I want to see new place, meet new people, new culture, and just to increase my views in experiencing with the new cultures and talk to new people. Experience is one among other things to improve my own views as well.
